May 3
May Day Mead Tasting; Let us guide you back to a time long ago;
taste and learn about the origin of the world’s oldest alcoholic
beverages, known as meads. Featuring our meads, cyser, melomels, perry,
and pyments. Savor with medieval foods, games, and theme music as
provided by the SCA (Society of Creative Anachronism). There is no
admission fee and reservations are not required.
July 19 - August 17
Blackberry Season;
Pick your own blackberries; For nearly a month we will extend our hours
to permit blackberry picking. Come savor the berries and the experience
of picking ripe, juicy blackberries while enjoying the great outdoors.
Fun for all ages! Hours: Wednesday through Saturday from 9am to 5pm;
Sunday 1-5pm.
August 2
Blackberry Harvest Festival;
Vast fields of blackberries; pick your own fresh berries or simply savor
them in our specialty desserts and “True to the Fruit” blackberry
wines. Family festivities include picnic foods, crafts, live music, and
other activities. $10 admission includes logo glass and entertainment;
Additional charges apply for blackberries; standard per quart price
applies. Children receive free admission.
September 27, 6pm
Ribeye Roundup;
Come enjoy live Bluegrass music, steak grilled to perfection, and our
Blue Heeler Wine. Dinner served with farm fresh salad, baked potato and
desserts. Wine Bar featuring an assortment of “true to the fruit” wines
and historical honey meads. $40 admission includes dinner, glass of
wine, and live entertainment with Jason Ring. Limited seating;
reservations required.
October 4-5
Fall Foliage Wine & Food Pairing; Memorable mountain views abound. Take
in the scenery with a glass of “true to the fruit” wine,
ever-popular pear sangria,
or hot mulled wine while relaxing under our outdoor covered pavilion.
Enjoy wine and food pairings. No admission charge.

5th
Annual Medieval Dinner Theater. Featuring medieval style banquet
consisting of five courses, a glass of Cyser which is an Anglo Saxon
style apple mead, a glass of wine with dessert, and a wonderful night
full of entertainment. Entertainment is provided by The Doorway
Singers, a medieval entertainment group from Virginia Beach. We will
take you back in time for an evening in the 13th century.
Dress up in medieval clothing if you want; There will be a costume
contest and also door prizes. “True to the Fruit” wines and historical
honey meads will be available for tasting and/or purchase. A portion of
the proceeds will benefit the Nelson County High School FFA.
Reservations are required and seating is limited. Admission is $75 per
person.

4th Annual Anglo Saxon Feast; This is a unique English celebration from
medieval times, originally celebrating the life of St. Edmond. St
Edmund was a 9th centaury King of Norfolk, an independent
kingdom of Anglo-Saxon England who was martyred by the Danes in 870 A.
D. Come enjoy grilled Salmon steaks paired with our Anglo-Saxon style
Cyser, one of our authentic historical meads. This will be an evening
of good food and wonderful entertainment featuring a mixture of
traditional Celtic and American Folk music. Admission is $50 and
includes dinner, entertainment and wine tasting. Reservations will be
required.
December 13-14 & 20-21
Holiday Open House;
Come in out of the cold and enjoy our fruit wines and meads. We’ll show
you how our wines pair with foods. Find a unique gift for someone
special from our gift shop or wine selection. Enjoy wine and food
pairings, soup, and hot mulled wine. No admission charge.
